BAKTO
Dj Bakto started playing in 1999 in club Gromka, Ljubljana. There he started Lounge Guerrilla, a series of eclectic electronic music events. A year later he joined the Code.EP crew and began to play in Ljubljana’s club K4. Since then he’s been playing in almost all Slovenian and neighboring clubs and festivals. He also worked with Slovenian jazz band called Projekt Mesto. From the very beginning he’s been playing many different styles of music, from leftfield hip hop, old school breakbeats and funk, to nu school breaks, electro and drum’n’bass.
DADO
Dado's first mixing experiences go back in 1994 when he started mixing beats with DJ Nu. In 1995 they performed as a supporting act to The Roots. He was a member of a hiphop group called Garbage Enemy and Srečna Mladina. After meeting DJ Borka, they started the Ironic Tronic project, a hiphop act which also includes Dado’s brother Fidži. Today he's a member of Code EP - a network of innovative groups and creative individuals, who express themselves through music and visual communication, web design and urban installations.
D*SUN
DJ D*Sun from Ptuj has already been our gest and, together with Pupa Robbie, provided us with a great jungle set. You can listen to it in our GJ music archive (Junglestyle). This time this DJ from Ptuj is gonna hit us with a bit different, breakbeat set.
W.G.
W.G. started DJ-ing on elementary school dances, when everybody were still listening to cassettes. He started with his d'n'b, jungle and breakbreat sets three years ago. He is well known to the audience in Ljubljana, since he has been spinning his music in all the alternative clubs in the Slovene capital; from Channel Zero, Gala Hala, Klub Gromka, Kunilingus, and Jalla Jalla to Rog. He has also performed in Kamnolom Radeče, KMR Plac, Rdeča ostriga, Izbruhov bazen in Kranj, Boogaloo in Zagreb and Sea Splash Festival in Pula (Croatia), and has provided some seriuos scratching for Haris Pilton, when he was DJ-ing in Vienna.
For the last two years he has been organising jungle and breakbeats evenings, better known as Break the fucking beat, in Ljubljana.
